DIY: Homemade Organic Deodorant. No Baking Soda Recipe
I have tried nearly all the "all natural" deodorants on the market and I had pretty much decided that I was just going to stink for the rest of my life.
I thought I would give one last ditch effort and make my own deodorant.
I researched all the recipes on Pinterest and the mommy blogs and put together this recipe.
I wanted all organic.
No baking soda.
No powder.
No brushes.
No creams I had to spread on with my fingers.
Just a stick of deodorant.
That would last the entire day.
This recipe turned out to be a weird color.
I think it's because of the yellow beeswax mixing with the Redmond's Clay.
But I have to say it works GREAT.
It glides on easy.
And you can add your own essential oils to customize the scent.
THE RECIPE:
1/3 Cup Organic Coconut Oil
3 TBs beeswax
2 TBs Shea Butter
1/3 Cup Arrowroot Powder
2 TBS Redmond's Clay
15 drops Essential Oils
I used frankinsense, lavender, and melaleuca.
I use and trust doTerra and sell them.
If you would like to buy them you can get them HERE on my website
DIRECTIONS:
Melt the coconut oil, beeswax, and shea butter on the stove, stirring constantly.
It only takes about a minute.
Take it off the heat.
Add the arrowroot and Redmond's Clay and whisk quickly.
Add about 15 drops of your favorite essential oils for scent and additional therapeutic benefits.
Pour into 2 deodorant containers.
Let them sit over night and they are ready to go by morning!
The whole thing took me about 5 minutes.
Super Easy!
These would work: Deodorant Containers
Or these are a better price if you go in with a few friends and split them: 12 count pack of Deodorant Containers
Beeswax
I got the coconut oil from Vitacost, using a referral link like this to give me $10 off.

This made the price lower than Costco, but Costco changes prices and brands so I need to double check to see if that is still the case.
Everything else I ordered from Amazon.
