Ebay Daily Deals: A new way to save
This is interesting. It seems that Ebay has jumped on the daily deal bandwagon. They will send you an email once a day with flash sales of merchandise that will be heavily discounted. There will be limited quanities of items, so you have to decide fast if you want it. That's the trick-- trying to rush you into a quick decision.
On the other hand--- it's a great way to score amazing deals as long as you only BUY what you truly NEED.
I am going to sign up and cross my fingers that they have some organics now and again. I'll give a review after a week or so and let you know how it goes.
Saving Money through Ebates
Ebates is an online website that gives you discounts or cash back for other online purchases.
For example, when I bought my freezer through Sears.com, I received 7% back from Ebates.
I got the check automatically in the mail-- there were no extra forms to fill out or receipts to turn in.
Whenever you make an online purchase--- go to Ebates first. See if the store you are shopping at has any special promotions through Ebates--- and then the most important part-- use the Ebates link to send you to the website. Once you use their link to get to the website, they will automatically apply the promotion.
I've made over $100 using them so far this year. It's really added up.
Sign up for Ebates HERE -- it's my personal referral link, so it will help me out too!
If you have a referral link, please leave it in the comments so others can use yours too.

It's been a wild week and I can't remember if I posted this link already.

You can print multiple copies of the ones you like, as well as pick up addition ones in store in the catalog.
I used the $1 off Zevia All Natural Soda, paired with the $3 off MN coupon and got 2 6-packs of soda completely FREE. They were $3.99 each.
I also used the Clif Kids coupons to score a box of Fruit Twists for just $0.50.
It's a 6 pack, which made them just $0.08 a piece.
Whole Foods is expensive, but with coupons and sales you can still score amazing deals and feed your family beautiful food.

Grass Fed Beef Sale at Whole Foods. One day only!
One-Day Sale! Ground Grass-Fed Beef
That is a wonderful price for grass fed beef. This actually makes me want to make the 35 minute drive to Whole Foods. AND if you didn't print off the $5 off $25 purchase coupon from Facebook, you should be able to apply it towards this deal. The catch is that the FB coupon is only good for the day you print it. So -- if you haven't printed yours yet--- print it Friday morning and then go hit this sale. If you buy 5 lbs for $25 and use the coupon, it lowers the price to just $3.99 a lb. It literally makes me giddy.
To print the coupon go to your local Whole Foods page on FB and click on it. They will send you an email to print. Here is the one for San Ramon
THEN check the Whole Foods website for more printable coupons HERE
These Whole Foods coupons CAN be combined with Manufacturer's coupons for double savings.

A daily deal site for Gluten Free AND a great spice deal
The last time I saw this spice deal, I passed. It just wasn't in the budget for the week.
And I've regretted it ever since.
$25 for a 12 spice set with free shipping. (normally $42 plus $8 for shipping)
I've been trying really hard to convert all of my herbs and spices to organic and it's a very slow, very expensive process. Purchasing the American Spice set gives me most of the staples for only $2.18 a piece.
I snagged it this time.

This deal is featured on a daily deal site specifically for people on a Gluten Free Diet.
I think that is so cool.

Mercury News: Monsanto supported labeling GMO's in Europe-- but not California.
The Mercury News has published a short article on how Monsanto supported the labeling of GMO's in Europe, but is opposing it with a $4.2 million dollar contribution in California.
It would seem once they saw it was inevitable, they decided it was in their best interest to look like one of the good guys and say they were in agreement.

Remember when you see the commercials against Prop 37 that the only agenda they have is to protect their product--- not your health-- -not your children-- not our food supply or environment.

The Dollar Tree is now accepting coupons!
Wow.
This is so unexpected and weird.
The Dollar Tree has changed their coupon policy and is now accepting Manufacturer's Coupons.
There are some rules:
No store specific coupons (Target coupons, Rite Aid coupons, etc)
No coupons for FREE items
No coupons where they have to fill in the price or no price is listed
If the coupon value is MORE than the cost of the item-- you will not get paid overage.
Only 2 home-printed coupons per transaction
Only 1 coupon can be used per item
And the coupons must be for the right product, size, quantities, etc.
Even with these limitations-- it's amazing that they have started accepting coupons at all.
This means you will get FREE stuff almost every week.
It's going to be awesome.
And if you don't like some of their products, you can always scoop up the free items and donate them to your kid's classroom or the local women's shelter. One of the things I love about couponing is the ability to be more generous.
The Frugal Find will be posting Dollar Tree deals and let you know of the freebies available.
I will post some too, but I will try to stick to healthy and reusable. She will be more comprehensive.
And as always, if you snag a deal somewhere, come back and let us know!
