For the Meat Lovers: Whole Foods Grass Fed Beef Sale

I went to this sale last year and bought about 30 lbs of beef. I think I have a few left, but it's definitely time to restock.

Whole Foods is having their Annual Grass Fed Beef Sale $4.99 a pound.
If you've shopped around like I have, you know it's a great price.
If you are new to Grass Fed beef, you might try mixing it 50-50 with regular ground beef to help you get used to the taste. Or ground turkey if that is your usual.

Organic Meat Sale on Plum District

Plum District is offering a deal on organic meats from Emerald Organic Products.
They will ship the meat anywhere in the lower 48.

The meat is organic and grass fed.

The deal:
You pay $35 for a $70 voucher towards meat.
Shipping is $20 flat rate.

An idea would be to buy the ground beef on sale for $9.99 a lb.
So 7 lbs for $70.
You pay $35 for the meat plus $20 for shipping.
$55 for 7 lbs or $7.85 a pound.

I just stocked up on ground beef the last time Whole Foods had a sale and I paid $5.99 a lb.
So this is not the best deal out there, but it is decent, especially if you want to stock up your freezer.
You can look at the other cuts of meat too, to see if there is a better deal.

This is also one of the promotions where if you buy it and get your 3 friends to buy it, you end up getting it free.
I am not going to buy it this time, as I just stocked up on beef and have over 20 lbs in my freezer right now.
But if you buy it, let me know and I will add your link to this post so that maybe you can earn it free! If more than one of you buy it, feel free to add your links to the comments section so other people can buy under you.

Check out the deal HERE

Grass Fed Beef Sale at Whole Foods. One day only!

One-Day Sale! Ground Grass-Fed Beef

One-Day Sale! Ground Grass-Fed Beef

That is a wonderful price for grass fed beef. This actually makes me want to make the 35 minute drive to Whole Foods. AND if you didn't print off the $5 off $25 purchase coupon from Facebook, you should be able to apply it towards this deal. The catch is that the FB coupon is only good for the day you print it. So -- if you haven't printed yours yet--- print it Friday morning and then go hit this sale. If you buy 5 lbs for $25 and use the coupon, it lowers the price to just $3.99 a lb. It literally makes me giddy.
To print the coupon go to your local Whole Foods page on FB and click on it. They will send you an email to print. Here is the one for San Ramon
THEN check the Whole Foods website for more printable coupons HERE
These Whole Foods coupons CAN be combined with Manufacturer's coupons for double savings.

Are you eating a well balanced diet?

My friend posted this on facebook and I thought it deserved to get passed along. I am not saying we all need to go to the extremes this guy has gone too-- but I think it's a good reminder to check the ingredients of the foods you eat and to consider buying more REAL food and less CREATED food.
