AmazonLocal Deal: Soap.com means 50% of sun screen and other organics

AmazonLocal is offering a deal right now for $16 worth of stuff from soap.com for only $8.
I am thinking this might be a good time to get sun screen. Sun Screen is a summer must, but it is also expensive if you are going for the safer brands.

You want avoid the active ingredients Retinyl Palmitate and  Oxybenzone.
These ingredients cause cancer-- so while you might think you are preventing skin cancer, you are actually giving yourself another kind-- just on the inside. Nice huh?

The best kind of sun screen is one with the active ingredients: Titanium Dioxide and/or Zinc Oxide.
Both of these are natural minerals.
And they tend to be much more expensive than the cancer-causing kind.

Here is a fantastic article from a woman who tries out all the natural sun screens and gives her reviews.

On Soap.com there are a few mineral sun screens available.
Shady Days contains 82% organic ingredients and no parabens.
It is $9. With this voucher, it would be $4.50.

California Baby Sunblock Stock$15.99, so with this deal $7.99.
California Baby Fragrance Free Sunblock Stick - SPF 30+ - .5 oz

You can also do a search for natural deodorants, organic shampoos, method, 7th Generation, diapers, etc etc. If there is something you need and you don't have a coupon or see a sale, this is a good chance to get that item half off or at least $8 off.

UPDATE:  The offer only applies to the following brands:  Offer only applies to the following brands: Accu-Clear, Align, Always, Ariel, Aussie, Bold, Bounce, Bounty, Braun, Camay, Cascade, Charmin, Cheer, Clairol, Clearblue Easy, CoverGirl, CoverGirl & Olay, Crest, Dawn, Downy, Duracell, Era, Fact Plus, Febreze, Fekkai, Fixodent, Gain, Gillette, Gleem, Head & Shoulders, Herbal Essences, Ivory, Ivory Snow, Joy, Metamucil, Mr. Clean, Olay, Old Spice, Oral B, Pantene, Pepto-Bismol, Prilosec, Puffs, Pur, SafeGuard, Scope, Secret, Swash, Swiffer, Tampax, Tide, Tide To Go, Vicks.

  2. So glad they refunded! Nice to know they have good customer service. I got a Kiss My Face brand at The Grocery Outlet that was about 70% off retail, but it was a very small bottle. SO I too am on the look out for safe sun screen and I will definitely be posting those deals. Good sunscreen is EXPENSIVE.
