If you drown asparagus in butter and salt, you still get the benefits of eating asparagus. I think with kids, you can dress them up anyway that makes them appealing. Dips. Butter and Salt. Butter and brown sugar. Covered in cheese. The fats and salts from REAL food will still be better than the fats and salts from processed foods and you get the comfortable with the flavors of vegetables. It's a hard battle though. My youngest hates all veggies except corn on the cob.
Fresh fruit is the easiest thing for me to feed my family. Everyone loves strawberries, grapes, watermelon and pineapple. It's getting veggies eaten!!
